Freeware: This is software that is completely free. |

Shareware/Evaluation: This is software you can download and evaluate for a limited time period. It will stop working at the end of the evaluation period, and you will have to purchase it if you want to continue using it. |

Demoware: This is software that has limited features compared to the full version. In other words, it has one or more functions disabled. |

Adware: This software is free, but ads are displayed during use. Most adware authors will have a advertisement-free edition of their software available for a small fee. |
